The Rip Curl Pro Mademoiselle will start tomorrow on Les Bourdaines, Seignosse
SEIGNOSSE, France (August 25th, 2008) - After the Rip Curl Pro 6-Star Prime, time for the girls to show their surf with The Rip Curl Pro Mademoiselle, from the 26th August to the 1st September.
- The 26th and 27th August : Pro Junior 2-star, the next generation of girl's surfing
August 26 and 27 will be the days to watch Europe’s professional junior champions compete at les Bourdaines. The winner of the Pro Junior will earn the prized ‘Wildcard’ entry into the main event of the Rip Curl Pro Mademoiselle. The spot will put you the youngster in Round 1 against the event’s Top Seed.
The European Pro Junior title will be done during this spot. So we will know the names of the 2 surfer girls who will go to Australia next Janunary for the International Pro Junior final. Pauline Ado (FR), Cannelle Bulard (FR), Lee-Ann Curren (FR) or Alizée Arnaud (FR) ?
- The 28th, 29th and 30th August : Time to the Best surfers of the world, with the only ASP Women's World Tour stop in Europe!
the world’s best 17 surfers will be in France for the year’s 4th stop (of 8) on the ASP Women’s World tour. The contest is the girls’only event in Europe for 2008 and one of the year’s most popular stops.
The Rip Curl Pro Mademoiselle presents an up-close-andpersonal pportunity for the general public to come and watch an exceptional contest where the Rip Curl Girls Surf Team figure among the leaders of women’s professional surfing.
Will be present the World Champion 07 Stephanie Gilmore (ASU), Jessi Miley-Dyer (AUS) and Jacqueline Silva (BRA).
- The 31st August and 1st September : the best couple of surf tandem
Tandem Surfing will step into the spotlight at the Rip Curl Pro Mademoiselle. The event will host one of the 15 stages of the World Tandem Tour (WTT ).
The swell forecast are really optimistic for this week.
The Pro Junior will start after the call at 9.00AM.
